Testing out an iPad keyboard setup but still too brain fried to really make any words happen, so a brainless survey a few other people have done:
1. Do you like bleu cheese? Nope. I cannot stand any kind of actual cheese.
2. Coke or Pepsi?
Coke products, but I don't drink cola.
3. Do you own a gun?
No. I should never even be allowed near recreational shooting because I'd just end up ruining my own hand, and that's beside my belief that civilians shouldn't own guns at all.
4. Whiskey, Tequila, Vodka?
I am "dry," as my rheumatologist calls me. :D Sober would imply never using any drugs of any kind recreationally, which is ... not accurate ... but I don't drink.
5. Hot dogs or Cheeseburgers?
Kosher.
6. Favorite Type Of Food?
I really don't like eating. It is a fueling kind of thing, but it's sensory hell for me. My least awful eating experience is sometimes soft serve ice cream but not always. Or bread, maybe.
7. Do you believe in ghosts?
I'm one of those people who would love to believe in lots of things, but my brain doesn't let me believe in anything. I wish I believed in ghosts. I often talk to my dad's spirit at places I consider close to him (memorial bench, his old office, graveside etc) even though I don't believe he's there, because I want to be wrong.
8. What do you drink in the morning?
Hot chocolate unless it's a million degrees out, plus I have to take pills with Sprite because I can't swallow things with a non-fizz drink. This is because of post nasal drip combined with polymyositis, aren't bodies weird?
9. Can you do 100 Pushups?
I can't do one.
10. Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall?
Summer, please.
11. Favorite hobby?
Photography.
12. Tattoos?
None.
13. Do you wear glasses?
Yes.
14. Phobia?
I have more of them than I can remember, because of OCD, but falling is the most severe one as it manifests as a fear of heights (I LOVE air travel, I am not afraid of heights) in a sort of benign way where I can't look down multiple flights of stairs without getting very upset.
15. Nickname?
Kit is the most common, followed by Opal. Name-derived nicknames from a three letter name are not easy. :P
16. Three drinks you drink?
Soda pop, hot chocolate, "tea" (really herbal infusion, none of the teas I drink have actual tea in them because my heart is a problem child).
17. Biggest downfall:
Fear of just about everything.
18. Rain or Snow?
NEITHER? If I have to pick one, rain.
19. Piercings?
Currently just one in each lobe that aren't removable as my earlobes got infected at EVERYTHING, so I have very expensive rhodium-gold endless hoops pretty much permanently affixed. I've been meaning to get a daith for the last decade.
20. Age?
31.
21. Taken or Single?
Taken.
22. Kids?
Never.
23. Favorite color?
Green.
24. Employed?
Full time and then some.
25. Can you whistle?
So this is actually funny. I could before I developed Sjogren's and now it's very much touch and go depending on if my body feels like having enough moisture in my mouth - super dry lips and inner cheeks can't make the sound!
26. Where were you born?
Right here in Manhattan.
27. Brothers or sisters?
Technically none, genetically and experientially, two half-siblings. We grew up as one household until I was around ten, and they're my cousins, but their mother is my mom's identical twin. Therefore we have half our DNA from the same source, making us half-siblings with completely different parents! (Their dad walked out early though, so my dad was the only father figure they had.) I usually call them my brother and sister, but it often confuses people so I end up having to explain the whole thing - 'cousins' just doesn't explain the closeness we have quite right.
28. Ever Been Arrested?
Once, at a protest.
29. Surgeries?
I've had a LOT of oral surgeries, an emergency cholecystectomy, a number of cardiac caths (that's not really surgery, but it required anesthesia in my case).
30. Religion?
Humanist Judaism.
31. Shower or Bath?
Shower, but I can't stand, so I need my shower seat.
32. Like to gamble?
No.
33. Are you loyal?
To a fault, I'm told.
34. Broken bones?
Left ankle, several toes, left middle finger, nose (twice, and the second break actually reset it so it no longer appears broken though it will if you touch or X-ray it). Not all at the same time.
35. How many tv's in your house?
One.
36. Worst pain ever?
Having a stroke; as a result, the ER wasn't sure my gallbladder scans were accurate, because I was being pretty chill about the pain from it rupturing. Because it just didn't feel that bad in comparison, I was mostly really nauseated.
37. Do you like to dance?
Yes, though I've gotten worse at it as my disease progresses.
38. Are your parents still alive?
Only one.
39. Do you like camping?
Yes.
